Shadow and Shiner’s Reunion at the Double S Ranch

After being together daily for almost everyday for 4 months, these two dogs developed quite a bond. When we left last April Shadow was Really down in the dumps. We were told that Shiner was not the same as well. So this entry is dedicated to them and their reunion.

If you click on the photo, I think a larger one will pop up, some of the expressions are too cute to miss!

These two are quite the pair, I love watching them together. They are 13 years old and in really good health. I am so thankful that God chose me to watch over them! Even though I only have Shiner in the winter, I am equally thankful that she is in our lives.

    1. Thanks Kelly!
My world would be in black and white if it wasn't for the dogs and other animals!

Can you do me a favor... Could you tell me if my blog shows the leave a comment box? Or did you have to click no comments hyper link to get it to pop up?

When I go onto my blog it doesn't show, but I occasionally get comments; so I was thinking that maybe it just doesn't show on mine! If you have the time to help me out I would be most thankful!

    1. It seems like all I have done since we've been here is storm clean up. We get the trails clear and then more wind, storms, and then nearly 5 inches of snow that dropped limbs and trees like a spilled bag of marbles! I haven't even gotten one mile out of 12 cleared yet! I hope to do some metal detecting eventually!

  4. Cindy- this is terri - we had the yellow can-am - loved the site! Great stories and pictures! I can look back now when I get "farm/dog" sick :) which was yesterday after we got home :) Thank goodness we are close (Lindale) because we had to do a quick turn-around as we forgot our dogs bed at the Allen house :) I've tried several times to send you a message - will try with anonymous this time and see how it works?? Please keep the site going - it is wonderful!

    1. Hi Terri! Thank you so much for commenting and for your encouragement! Blogging is fun, but it is also time consuming, so I really do appreciate feedback like yours.

Maybe our paths will cross again next year too! It was nice meeting you and Jan and your sleepy sitting by the fire hubby with the Miller Lite! LOL

    1. Hi Terri, Dave has been saying that I should be writing Children's Stories for a long time. He will love this comment!

LOL on packing up Mr. Miller and coming back to the ranch. Keep your eye on the blog, I am working on one that is about you and Mr. Miller's friend! I don't think we exchanged names when we ran into each other the first time. So Mr. Miller's friend it is!

    1. Hi Terri,
Maybe through the open ID or name URL you might be how to do it with your email. How old are the kids you each? Shadow's Alligator Story and Bird Watching Adventures might be fun for them. Just read through it and make sure I didn't use any inapproriate words. If I did you can let me know and I think I could change them.
You can email me at rvingdog@live.com or comment on the blog is great too!

  7. Welcome back to the Ranch. I'm so glad Shiner is happy. I miss her so much and glad she doesn't get too lonely. I have got to get down to see them soon. Wish I could meet Shadow too.

  8. Next week we will have been here for two months already! Time is just flying by! I am not sure when we are leaving, I know we will be here at least one more month possibly two... If your coming down this way drop me a note so I can watch for you. Shadow is a great dog, the male version of Shiner. They get along so good together, they are quite the pair!
